Application

BEFORE SPRAYING

  1. Shake can vigorously for 1 minute to ensure colour uniformity. Shake can occasionally during use.
  2. Remove the child proof cap by inserting a screwdriver in the cap and levering it up. Avoid using sharp objects that may puncture the can.
  3. Test spray on a small inconspicuous area to ensure surface compatibility and finish suitability.

SPRAYING

  1. Select the nozzle setting: The horizontal setting should be used when spraying up and down and the vertical setting should be used when spraying across. To change the nozzle setting, turn the red section on the nozzle.
  2. Hold the can upright approximately 25cm from the surface.
  3. Press button firmly and spray several light coats with a smooth sweeping motion, overlapping each spray pass. To prevent paint from sagging, avoid spraying too close to the surface or applying a heavy coat.
  4. Repeat if necessary.

Do not use when air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C or in excessive humidity.

Coverage

Approximately 1.5m² per can, depending on the nature of the surface and amount of overspray.

Drying

Touch dry in 10 minutes. Re-coat after 1 hour and before 2 hours, otherwise leave 24 hours before re-coating. Drying will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.

Clean Up

Overspray can be removed while still wet with Rust Guard Solvent or mineral turps.

To clean the nozzle after use and prevent blocking turn the can upside down and press button until only gas escapes.

Hints and Tips
  • Paint will not adhere to glossy or dirty surfaces.
  • Use a drop sheet to cover objects from overspray. Overspray can travel long distances so make sure you cover a wide area.If possible, place the object to be sprayed inside a cardboard box or on newspaper.
  • When spraying, spray across object, starting and finishing off to the side. It is better to spray a few light coats than one heavy coat.
  • Practice makes perfect. Do a test piece first on cardboard to get the feeling.
  • Use masking tape or newspaper to prevent paint from going on areas you don't want it to.
  • Have lots of rags handy for any cleaning.
