White Knight RUST CONVERTER is a fast and effective treatment for lightly rusted steel surfaces. The advanced formulation chemically reacts with the rusty surface creating a lasting barrier against further corrosion. Ideal for small jobs where rust cannot be easily removed.

Preparation

Preparation

Remove all loose rust, scale and flaking paint by wire brushing, scraping or mechanically sanding. The surface must be clean,dry and free from grease, dirt, oil and other contaminants before applying White Knight Rust Converter.
Application Details

Application Details

Stir contents thoroughly for 5 minutes before use. Pour only into plastic or glass containers and do not return leftovers to original container. Apply undiluted by brush to the rust affected area only. Wipe off any excess on surrounding metal or paintwork immediately with a damp cloth.  Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 10°C or above 30°C. Rust Converter should only be applied to rusted surfaces and is not recommended as a rust preventative coating on clean steel.

Over-coat with White Knight Rustguard Epoxy Enamel after 2 hours drying. When using a water-based or oil based topcoats, treated surfaces should first be primed with White Knight Metal Primer. Do not overcoat with White Knight Cold Gal or zinc rich primers.

Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface.
Drying Times

Drying Times

Touch dry in 30 minutes. Allow 2 hours for complete reaction to take place before overcoating. Drying will be slower in cold or humid conditions or in the absence of ventilation.

Clean brushes and equipment with water immediately after use.
