White Knight Fish Oil is a deodorised rust inhibiting formulation. The penetrating quality of White Knight Fish Oil actively saturates rust scale and removes moisture, forming a protective coating on metal.

Fish Oil is ideal for use in inaccessible, rust prone areas such as joints, cracks and crevices.

Preparation

Preparation

All loose material and rust scale must be removed either by wire brushing, scraping or sanding. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and free from grease, oil, dirt and other surface contaminants.Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C.

BEFORE SPRAYING Cover all necessary areas to protect from overspray. It is essential to shake the can for at least one minute after mixing ball rattles to ensure product uniformity. Shake can occasionally during use. Do not use when the air or surface temperature is below 15°C or above 30°C or in excessive humidity.

Brush On: Stir thoroughly before and during use. Apply liberal amounts of Fish Oil to completely saturate the surface. Allow Fish Oil to penetrate well into all crevices. Do not apply Fish Oil to wet or damp surfaces. Apply by brush, roller or spray Aerosol

Aerosol:  Spray outside or in a well ventilated area away from fire and heaters. Test spray first on a small inconspicuous area to ensure surface compatibility and finish suitability. Hold the can upright approximately 15-20 cm from the surface. Press button firmly. Spray with a smooth sweeping motion. Apply a pre-wetting mist coat followed by a full even coat. Overlap each spray pass. Repeat if necessary. To prevent paint sagging, avoid spraying too close to the surface or spraying too heavy a coat. For hard to reach areas, place the extension tube firmly into the centre of the spray nozzle. This will allow accurate application to desired surface. Apply sufficient amounts of Fish Oil to completely saturate the surface. Allow Fish Oil to penetrate well into all crevices.

Brush On Up to 10 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface. Aerosol Up to 1 to 1.5 square metres per unit depending on amount of overspray and spraying technique.

Touch dry minimum 48 hours.

Overspray can be removed while still wet with mineral turps. Clean equipment and brushes with mineral turps immediately after use. Important Soak any cloths used, in water immediately after use as they may self ignite.

Overcoating

Overcoating

For subsequent coats of Fish Oil apply after 7 days. For areas that are accessible or require decoration, do not use White Knight Rust Guard Fish Oil, use White Knight Rust Guard Epoxy Enamel following instructions on the label.

Brush On: After 7 days Aerosol: After 72 hours. Drying times will be slower in cold or humid conditions, in the absence of ventilation or where heavy film builds are applied.
